Lorde revealed what it’s like being friends with someone like Taylor Swift in a recent interview with “The Guardian,” and apparently some folks didn’t care for her choice of words.
Lorde compared being friends with such a high profile star to “having a friend with an autoimmune disease,” and got roasted for it over social media, with one person writing, “I wonder how @selenagomez feels about this. What an incredibly ignorant analogy to make,” since Selena, also a friend of Taylor’s, has the autoimmune disease Lupus.
Well, Lorde was quick to apologize for the comment, although it appears she's suggesting the writer took some liberties with her comment. She tweeted, “didn’t mention taylor, but regardless, i f—– up & that was really insensitive. i’m sorry.”
