Sometimes I have bright ideas that aren't always well thought out.  I decided I needed to start doing more road riding.  I have never ridden around Lake Draper but decided I would...how hard could it be?  Right?  I hop on my bike and head north. About three miles down the road I have to make a decision.  Do I continue to go forward, do I turn left down the marginal road or hop on what looks to be a newly paved bike trail.  Well, I take the bike trail!  Bad choice...the bike trail leads to the highway!  I turn around thinking that I'll just head back toward my car which would give me 6 miles and then I would go north 3 miles and turn back to give me a total of 12 miles.  (confusing enough?)  So I start heading back south.  Let me just add that I am a scaredy cat.  Every time something moves in the grass I want to hop off my bike and run away!  Because I would be so much faster. Haha. So I'm biking along and here comes this weird looking guy with no shirt on riding a small kids bike.  I start thinking he's going to kill me and drag me off to the lake.  He stops to ask me where the road goes.  I decide to try and speed away telling him the road just goes straight.  Now I can't turn around!!  If I turn around then he could sneak up behind me and kill me.  So I decide at this point I will have to go all the way around.  By the time I get back to my car I notice I went a grand total of 20 miles!  Yea me!  PS...I haven't been able to feel my butt for 3 days!!!
