This is the movie I have been waiting for all year. Christopher Nolan (The Prestige, The Dark Knight) directs and he does not make bad movies. Leo DiCaprio stars in a movie not directed by Martin Scoresese! The plot has been kept under wraps so I won’t spoil anything. Basically, Leo plays a guy who is a corporate thief. He has a way of entering people’s dreams and stealing information. He and his team get hired to see if instead of stealing an idea, they can plant one. From there is becomes a layered trippy suspense action movie. If it sounds a little confusing, it is. But not as much as I thought it would be. You know when you leave a theater and say, “I liked it, but I’m not really sure what happened.” This isn’t one of those.

Wow! This movie blew my mind. I think I set it up to be a little better than it was, but I had high expectations. The layers are really cool along with the visuals. I am not a big Leo fan, but he kills it in this. This might take a couple of viewings just to make sure I got all of it. There is a lot of Best Picture buzz, and this year has been a bad movie year, so look for it come award season. Go see this. This is an intelligent, complex movie and we need more of these.
