Based on a graphic novel, Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) is falling for Ramona Flowers. The problem is in order to go out with her he must battle her seven evil exes. The movie takes off into a video game world with action straight from all the role player games. Pilgrim starts to wonder if Ramona is really worth all this fighting while playing in his band Sex Bobomb and trying to keep his ex girlfriend at bay.

The movie is fun. The action and the effects are really cool. I think if I was more of a gamer I would have liked this more. I haven’t read the graphic novel either so I didn’t have a working knowledge going into it. I think people will like this but it might have a hard time finding an audience. It is very different and it’s hard to judge just based on the trailer. Most girls will hate this unless they like video games also. If you are dying to see this, you won’t be disappointed. If you are not sure, you might stay away and maybe wait for the DVD.
